Easter at the Old Sunset Beach Bridge
April 15, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The Old Bridge Preservation Society is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt, so bunny hop over to the Sunset Beach Town Park on Saturday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m. The members of the OBPS Special Events Committee have planned a number of activities and games for attendees. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance. Admission is free and all are welcome. Photo opportunities will be plentiful. Events take place at the Sunset Beach Town Park, Saturday, April 15 beginning at 1:00. If the weather looks questionable, call 910.363.6585 before venturing out, as we don’t want anyone disappointed. The 2017 North Carolina Azalea Festival

The 70th Annual North Carolina Azalea Festival will be held April 5-9 in the nearby greater Wilmington area. The festival is a celebration of Wilmington’s outstanding gardens, artwork, culture and rich history. Since its inception in 1948, the North Carolina Azalea Festival has blossomed into an extended weekend celebration that attracts more than 300,000 people and generates more than $51 million for the local economy. The Festival showcases our community’s rich array of artwork, gardens, history and culture through recreational, educational and family-oriented events. Holden Beach Days at the Docks Festival
April 29 – April 30, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Days at the Docks is the Holden Beach way to kick off the Spring and start the vacation season. Enjoy many arts & crafts vendors and food vendors, live music and entertainment, a cardboard box paddle race, hermit crab races, and the world famous “Bopple Race.” There will be lots of activities for the entire family and a children’s area for the kids. The Cardboard Box Paddle Race and Hermit Crab Races will be on Saturday and the Family Fun Run and the Bopple Race will be on Sunday. Free Admission and Free Parking.
